fjell: analog
· v1.5
About
An outdoor instrument that never stops looking like a watch.
fjell is an analog face first. Faceted silver hands over a black
instrument dial, a full sixty-tick minute track, restrained blue
markers, and a mountain signature at twelve. The data is there when
you look for it — it just isn't what you see first.
A DIAL DRAWN LIKE A REAL WATCH
The tick ring, the numeral and the wordmark are rendered at each
panel's exact pixel size, not scaled down from one master. Hands sweep
over the complications the way they would over a printed dial, and the
hour hand advances continuously through the hour rather than jumping.
FIVE FIELDS, TWELVE SOURCES
Every field is yours: altitude, heart rate, steps, battery, calories,
distance, floors, active minutes, stress, body battery, and the date.
Turn off the ones you don't want and the dial simply gets quieter.
A PROGRESS RING THAT FOLLOWS THE WATCH
Steps, battery, floors, active minutes, stress or body battery, drawn
as a silver arc around the bezel with a blue marker at the tip. It
follows the geometry of the watch instead of adding another rectangle
to it.
BUILT FOR ALWAYS-ON, NOT JUST TOLERATED
On AMOLED the always-on frame is a hollow skeleton dial that drifts
between twenty-four positions every minute, so nothing sits burning
into one place. On MIP the palette is written directly in the sixty-
four colours those panels actually render, so the hands keep their
faceting instead of flattening to one grey.
TUNED PER DISPLAY, NOT PORTED
Fifty-three devices, each with its own art and its own typefaces.
WORKS WITH SUMMITER
Own Summiter as well and two more sources appear: Summit Progress and
Milestone Progress, in any field or on the ring. Don't own it, and
nothing is missing — fjell is a complete watch face on its own.

What's new
Now available on the fēnix 9 series:
• fēnix 9 — 43mm, 47mm
• fēnix 9 Pro — 43mm, 47mm, 51mm
• fēnix 9 Pro Solar — 47mm, 51mm
The dial, hands and complication text are rendered at each
model's native resolution, including the 51mm Pro's larger
display, so nothing is upscaled or softened.
