WORLD-X OWM

An independent WORLD-X edition for Garmin Instinct 2, Instinct 2S, and Instinct 2X. It uses OpenWeather Current Weather instead of Garmin Weather while retaining the world map, GPS marker, sunrise/sunset, stress, Body Battery, and configurable data fields. Setup: • Create your own OpenWeather API key and enter it in Connect IQ App Settings. Newly created keys may take up to two hours to activate. • Keep the watch paired with Garmin Connect and obtain a valid position once so background weather and sunrise/sunset can update. • Weather refreshes about every 30 minutes. Failed requests retry later and do not erase the last successful weather value. • Current Min/Max are OpenWeather's current observation range, not the daily forecast high/low. • A question-cloud icon means that no valid weather payload has been cached yet. The app sends the selected OpenWeather API key and the watch's current coordinates directly to OpenWeather only to request weather data. Weather data provided by OpenWeather: https://openweathermap.org/ All features are available for a two-hour trial. Existing WorldMap license holders can reuse their activation code; this independent Store edition may show a different device ID.
