WOD Percent
· v0.1.4
About
WOD Percent is a fast, offline lifting-percentage calculator for Garmin
watches. Open the table between sets, choose a saved lift profile, and read the
working weight without reaching for a phone.
The app is designed for short glances and physical-button use. It opens to the
last viewed table, keeps settings on the watch, and uses high-contrast rows with
no scrolling inside a percentage page.
New installations do not invent an athlete MAX. An unset lift clearly shows
`MAX NOT SET`; Select or tap opens the MAX editor directly. The editor starts
with a large 10 kg / 20 lb step, then offers 5 kg / 10 lb and precise
0.5 kg / 1 lb adjustments.
Key features:
- Four local lift profiles: Back Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift, and Overhead
Press
- One saved MAX per lift, with selectable MAX or derived-TM calculation base
- Page A: 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, and 90%
- Page B: 65%, 75%, 85%, and 95%, with 105% reserved for the MAX base
- Compact Page B reference for 1%, 2.5%, and 4% of the selected calculation base
- One-action percentage-page switching
- Kilograms and pounds
- Configurable nearest-increment rounding
- Persistent lift, MAX, calculation base, unit, rounding, and last-page settings
- Button-first controls, with touch input on supported devices
- Page-aware Glance showing the active lift and 90/80/70 after Page A or
95/85/75 after Page B
- No account, server, advertising, analytics, or internet permission
Important limitations:
- WOD Percent cannot read Strength Personal Records from Garmin Connect. Enter
each lift value manually on the watch or through Connect IQ app settings when
the Store-installed device supports them.
- A manually sideloaded PRG is not associated with a Connect IQ Store listing,
so Garmin Connect phone settings are unavailable for that sideload.
- Access routes differ by watch family and firmware. The app does not promise a
universal third-party-app hotkey.
- WOD Percent does not record an activity, save FIT files, calculate plates, or
synchronize data between devices.
The compact 1% / 2.5% / 4% reference is informational. It is calculated from
the active base without the configured plate-rounding increment and displayed
to one decimal place when needed.
Set a lift MAX on the watch
1. Use `UP/DOWN` on the table to select the lift.
2. If it shows `MAX NOT SET`, press `START/SELECT`. For a configured lift,
hold `UP·MENU`.
3. Adjust the first MAX step with `UP/DOWN`: 10 kg or 20 lb per action.
4. Press `START/SELECT` for the second MAX step: 5 kg or 10 lb per action.
5. Press `START/SELECT` for the third MAX step: 0.5 kg or 1 lb per action.
The title always shows the active increment, for example `MAX 10` or
`MAX 0.5`.
6. Hold `UP·MENU` to save immediately, or continue with
`BASE → UNIT → ROUND` and press `START/SELECT` on the final step.
7. Press `BACK` at any time to cancel the complete draft.
On supported touch watches, tap the left/right thirds to decrease/increase,
tap the center to continue, hold to save, and swipe right or tap the bottom
Cancel zone to cancel.
Use the percentage tables
- `UP/DOWN`: change lift.
- `START/SELECT`: switch Page A/Page B.
- Page A: 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90%.
- Page B: 65, 75, 85, and 95%; 105% is shown only with `BASE MAX`.
- The Glance mirrors the last-used page: Page A summarizes 90/80/70, and Page B
summarizes 95/85/75.
Configure through Connect IQ Store
For a Store-linked installation, open the app's settings in Connect IQ Store or
Garmin Connect. Enter each actual MAX, choose `BASE MAX` or the calculated
`BASE TM`, then choose unit and rounding. Enter `0` to clear a profile and
return it to `MAX NOT SET`.
What's new
- Added a first 10 kg / 20 lb MAX adjustment step for faster large changes.
- Kept the 5 kg / 10 lb and 0.5 kg / 1 lb adjustment steps.
- MAX editor titles now show the active increment, such as `MAX 10`,
`MAX 5`, or `MAX 0.5` in kilograms.
- The six-step editor remains keyboard-free and preserves Menu/hold quick Save
plus Back/Cancel for the complete draft.
- New installations now show `MAX NOT SET` instead of calculating from a
made-up 100-unit default.
- Select or tap an unset profile to configure it immediately.
- The on-watch editor now opens directly at MAX, with a fast 5 kg / 10 lb step
followed by a precise 0.5 kg / 1 lb step.
- Menu or hold saves the editor from any step; Select still advances and saves
on the final step, and Back still cancels the complete draft.
- The Glance follows the last-used table page: Page A shows 90/80/70, while
Page B shows 95/85/75.
- Store settings accept `0` to clear a lift. Existing schema-3 MAX values are
preserved unchanged during upgrade.
