NestedRings
· v1.0.1-upd3
About
A stylish analog watchface consisting of four nested intersecting rings that tell the time. Time is read similar to a regular analog watch but instead of the hour-hand pointing to the hour on the dial, an hour ring intersects the dial at the same location the hour-hand would point to. Instead of a minute-hand pointing to the minute on the dial, a minute ring, inside the hour ring, intersects the hour dial at the same location where the minute-hand would point. Similarly, seconds are read within the minute ring.
To help you more quickly gauge the time, one hour tick marks are shown on the 12hr dial and 5 minute tick marks are shown on the hour ring. Also, for 15, 30, 45, and 60 seconds, a different colored and filled second ring is displayed to help you gauge seconds.
Displaying Digital Time
A gesture to look at your watch will digitally display the time, day, and date for about 10 seconds. This may require a small motion, such as rotating your wrist to a larger arm motion, depending on the state of your watch.
Battery Level
Battery level is shown using the color of the second ring—green greater than 60%, yellow 20%-60%, red less than 20%.
Configuration Options
NestedRings can be configured via Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express--see https://apps.garmin.com/settingsHelp
Specific options are discussed below:
Spirograph Seconds – leave previous second rings on display during each minute—fills in the minute ring and then resets at the start of each minutes
Always Show Day and Date – The day and date will always be shown inside the 12hr ring
Always Show Digital Time—the digital time will always be shown inside the hour ring
More details on using and configuring NestedRings can be found in http://blueoaksoftware.com/Garmin/Watchfaces/NestedRings/NestedRingsManual.pdf.
