Just Beach IQ is a vibrant, sunlit watch face that turns your Garmin into a tiny beachfront view, with a sky that shifts from dawn to dusk, a gentle sea that ripples in real time, and a warm strip of sand below. ## A living beach scene The sky follows your local sunrise and sunset times, blending through soft dawn pinks, bright midday blues, golden afternoon tones, and deep twilight purples. The sun and moon rise and set in sync with the real sky, and their light reflects off the water as a shimmering trail. Below the horizon, the sea animates smoothly while you look at the watch — real wave lines drift across three layers, giving the face a calm, always-in-motion feel. When the watch enters low-power mode, the animation pauses automatically to protect your battery. Below the water, a warm sandy beach rounds out the scene. ## Clear, readable time A large hour and minute are placed above the horizon where the sky is brightest, so the time stays easy to read in any light. Below the clock you get the day of the week and the date in a compact, elegant row. Every text element — hours, minutes, date, field values, and icons — can be recolored from the settings to match your style or the mood of the scene. ## Three configurable data fields Just Beach IQ gives you three slots for live data, arranged as two fields at the top of the beach and one centered below: - Heart rate - Steps - Floors climbed - Calories - Distance - Altitude - Battery percentage - Barometric pressure (hPa, mbar, or inHg) - Current weather (temperature + condition icon) Each slot can be set independently from the Connect IQ mobile app, and changes appear on the watch almost instantly thanks to a live settings refresh. ## Weather at a glance When you pick the weather field, the face shows the current temperature next to a clean, hand-drawn icon for the condition — sunny, partly cloudy, rain, thunder, snow, fog, and more. Temperature automatically follows your device unit preference (°C or °F). Weather is pulled from Garmin Connect, so no extra account or app is required. ## Optimized for every Garmin Just Beach IQ runs on a wide range of devices and adapts automatically to each one: - On high-resolution AMOLED watches (Venu, Epix, Fenix 7/8 AMOLED, Forerunner 265/965/970, Vivoactive 5/6) it uses full-color gradients, crisp large icons, and smooth real-time wave motion. - On MIP devices (Fenix 5/6/7, Forerunner 245/255/955, and similar) it falls back to a carefully tuned color palette and compact layout so nothing gets clipped. - On AMOLED always-on display, a dimmed, battery-friendly version of the face is shown. ## Privacy and permissions The face only uses the sensors and data it needs to work: activity history (steps, floors, distance, calories), heart rate, battery, barometric pressure, and weather from Garmin Connect. No data leaves your watch.
