About

View your laps in a list. How is this different than other lap history viewers? • Flexibility 1-3 columns and dozens of available metrics, such as: Lap/Total Time, Lap Min/Max HR, Elevation at Lap end, Lap Ascent, Lap Calories, Lap HRR% • Power Scroll through all (*) your laps • Focus Hide column titles. Show only even/odd laps if you're doing intervals. • UX Whether you have 1, 2 or 3 columns, Lap Viewer tries to keep all your data visible. If it doesn't fit, the text shrinks. Precious space is saved by keeping lap numbers small and showing "5:00" instead of "05:00" for your lap time. For any questions or comments, please use the forum thread: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/showcase/7663/lap-data-field I'm open to any suggestions for improving the UX, simplifying the app or making it more intuitive. Thanks for helping me improve the app! (* Lap Viewer stores up to 50 recent laps, or 20 on older devices like FR235 or Fenix 3.) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Features ━━━━ • 1-3 columns with any meaningful combo of :      ◦ Lap, Overall (Current/Total)      ◦ Average, Minimum, Maximum, or none of the above      ◦ Time, Distance, Pace, Speed, Cadence, Power, Heart Rate, HR %Max, HRR%, Calories, Elevation, Ascent, Descent      For example, if you're interested in heart rate, you can choose from:      Lap: (Average) HR, Min HR, Max HR      Overall (at lap end): Current HR, Average HR, Min HR, Max HR • Shows all laps, or just even/odd laps • Column titles can be hidden so you can see more laps • 3 font sizes so you can choose between readability and seeing more laps. Most devices display 5-7 rows (If you choose large text, then Lap Viewer gets a bit wider on round watches.) (Text will automatically shrink to fit if you have 3 columns and/or big numbers.) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Q & A ━━━ Q: How do I add Lap Viewer to my running or cycling activity? A: • On your watch, select an activity with a spare data page — e.g. Run • Hold UP for the menu • Select Run Settings, Data Screens • Choose the unused screen • Change Layout to 1 field • Select Field 1, choose Connect IQ Fields, select Lap Viewer ━━ Q: How do I change Lap Viewer settings? A: Open Garmin Connect on your phone: • Tap the picture of your watch (near the top of the screen) • Tap Activities & App Management, Data Fields • Select Lap Viewer • Tap Settings ━━ Q: How do I scroll through my laps? A: In the app settings, select Auto Scroll (when paused/moving slowly) or enable the Hotkey. • The Lap Viewer Hotkey is: press DOWN, then UP, quickly For touch devices: Vivoactive 3/HR: Swipe UP, DOWN, quickly FR630, Vivoactive: Swipe LEFT, RIGHT, quickly • Double-clicking Back while paused: The Lap Viewer Hotkey really just hides and shows Lap Viewer quickly — UP, DOWN works just as well. While paused, pressing Back will not take a lap, it will switch between the data pages and pause menu. So you can double-click Back while paused to scroll the Lap Viewer. If you have a watch that can disable the Lap Key (e.g. 935/Fenix 5), you can do this while the timer is running, too. (And assign a device hotkey to take laps, such as Hold Back.) Q: I'm using the Hotkey, I have a lot of laps, and I want to get back to the first page without scrolling through all of them A: Press/swipe DOWN, wait 5 seconds, then press UP again. ━━ Q: What do the prefixes mean in column titles? A: • The 1st prefix applies to overall info (e.g. total time), at lap end: T = Total C = Current A = Average (not shown for lap metrics, since it's implied) Anything without a T, C or A prefix is a lap metric. • The 2nd prefix applies to lap and overall info: + = Maximum - = Minimum • e.g. Time: Lap time TTime: Total time (overall) Pace: Lap pace (implied to be lap average pace) +Pace: Lap max pace APace: Average pace (overall) CPace: Current pace C+Pace: Max pace (overall)

What's new

A clone of Lap Viewer is available here: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/08c38af5-0bd7-4a70-a341-d65b9e6b3782 1.5 • Support new devices, including Fenix 6 (all) and Vivoactive 4/4S 1.4 • Add support for 245, 245 Music, 945 and MARQ watches 1.3 • Display %HRR and HR %Max as percentages (e.g. "50") instead of ratios (e.g. "0.50") 1.2 • Fix bug where all columns had the same title 1.1.2 • Fix crash introduced in 1.1 1.1 • Add ability to have auto scroll when moving. See new setting: "Auto Scroll Type" • For old touchscreen watches (e.g. 630, Vivoactive, VAHR), change hotkey threshold to 5 seconds, instead of the normal 2 seconds. Hopefully the hotkey works now. • Save memory 1.0.11 • Fix bug where time for 1st lap was always 0 1.0.8 • Use bigger fonts for "large" text size. (Text will still shrink to fit with 3 columns/big numbers) • Fix problem where lap time/total time was often 1 second short ━━━━━━━━━ Lap Viewer inspired by datafields created by Travis Vitek and Mark Sibert.
