Christchurch Bus Departures

Use your watch to check when your bus is leaving! Currently only a limited number of watch models are supported, contact me with the details of your watch if you'd like me to look into adding support for it. Data displayed: - bus stop name - time until departure, bus number, and destination for the next buses leaving from the bus stop - if the bus is already at the bus stop the text is shown inversed Features: - up to 16 bus stops supported - downloads all the estimated departure times available (usually around 1 hour) and stores them on the watch - if no internet connection is possible it shows the previously downloaded departure information while trying to download updated data in the background - option to remember the last bus stop loaded, and show it on startup (for a given time, or until a new bus stop is selected) - based on live data provided by Metro Christchurch Configuration: For every bus stop to show, add a new Bus Stop in the application settings. Find the stop number by clicking on a stop on Metro Christchurch's 'Nearby' page (https://go.metroinfo.co.nz/mtbp/en-gb/arrivals/content/nearby), and add it as Bus Stop Id. If you leave the Display Name for the bus stop empty, it will be filled in with the official name the first time the widget is used. Alternatively you can set a custom Display Name. (Note: The Bus Interchange has separate 'bus stops' for each of its 'platforms'.) Sometimes there is a problem with the installation of the widget. This results in bus stops that have been added not showing up when the Settings are opened again, and not showing up on the watch. In this case please uninstall the widget, re-install it from Garmin IQ, and then add your bus stops again. Usage: Use the Start-Stop button to cycle through the list of bus stops If a 'no connection' icon is shown at the top of the bus stop name no internet connection was possible and previously downloaded data is shown. If this happens the widget attempts to download fresh data in the background, and updates the departure information when new data is received. Troubleshooting: If you encounter problems, in particular with the widget losing the configured bus stops, this can be caused by not enough storage space being available on the watch. Remove some unused apps and try again. This widget is open source and is released under the GPL-3.0 license.
