BodyMetrics
· v1.0.0
About
Body composition with health zones directly on your wrist.
## Description
Monitor your body composition with color-coded zones, personalized goals, and historical graphs. BodyMetrics transforms your Garmin Index S2 smart scale data into immediate and visual information, without complicated tables.
---
## Data Synchronization Transparency
BodyMetrics **combines** data from two sources:
- **Automatic** (Garmin Connect): body weight, height, sex, age
- **Manual**: after each weigh-in, read the values in Garmin Connect and enter them in a few seconds
**Important:** BodyMetrics does NOT automatically sync from your Index S2. Standard Garmin APIs don't expose body composition data, so manual entry compensates with a fast and intuitive interface.
---
## Health Zones at a Glance
Each metric displays a color zone that tells you where you are:
- **Green** → in the healthy range
- **Yellow** → monitor the trend
- **Orange** → time to take action
- **Red** → alarm zone
---
## The 9 Metrics
**From Garmin:** Weight, Height, Sex, Age
**Calculated:** BMI (personalized by sex/age/weight), BMR (Mifflin-St Jeor formula)
**Manual:** Body fat (%), Muscle mass (kg), Body water (%), Bone mass (kg)
**Automatic:** Muscle (%), Muscular power (W)
---
## Personalized Goals
BodyMetrics automatically calculates your ideal range based on sex, age, height, current weight, and body type (General/Endurance/Strength). You can customize specific targets from the Target Editor menu. Each metric tracks progress toward your goal.
---
## Historical Graphs and Trends
Follow your evolution over the last 7, 30, and 90 days. Each metric shows if you're improving, stable, or declining — so you know if what you're doing really works.
---
## Important Disclaimer
BodyMetrics calculations use **generic formulas based on scientific standards** (BMI, BMR, Mifflin-St Jeor). **These are not certified clinical data** and do not replace professional medical consultation.
Results are for **personal informational purposes** only and cannot be used for self-diagnosis or medical decisions. Always consult a doctor or healthcare professional before making significant changes to your eating or exercise habits.
