About

WARNING: The app is intended only as an in-flight aid and should not be used as a primary information source. If the app contains a barometric altimeter, it will not function in a pressurized aircraft and should not be used in a pressurized aircraft. StuFly gives you all the real time info you need while flying your paramotor. Once started it starts to show data. When it detects you have taken off it records this as your home position. It displays the following information: current heading (numerically and by compass cardinal, and by a green arrow*) heading to home (take off filed) (numerically, and by a red arrow*) Altitude Speed Vertical Speed (NEW!) Time of Flight Distance Traveled Distance in straight line to home (take off field) Current Time There are three configuration options available by selecting them in the menu: - Alternate Display: this toggles between displaying time of flight, distance, bearing home and distance home all at once on the screen in smaller text, or rotating between two sets of data with larger text. - Unit Toggle: this toggles between metric (kmh, metres) and imperial (mph, feet) - Arrow Toggle. Bye default the arrows show absolute bearings. This toggles the green arrow to always face the top of the watch, with the red arrow (bearing home) now being relative to it. Flights can also be recorded by using the start/stop button to start and stop the recording. These recordings will then by synced as a PPG activity in Garmin Connect.

What's new

31/07/2025 Updated for all compatible watches up to now inc latest Fenix, etc 04/12/2022 New Features: Support for MARQ2 watches, Venu2 watches and Venu Sq watches. Larger arrows than before standard. Two new features (available on menu): - even larger arrows can be enabled - the display can be inverted so that the background is black - ideal for OLED watches As usual, menus can be configured either on your phone or on the watch. note: for on watch config on touch screens: hold finger on screen for a bit - menu will come up. swipe up/down to get menu item you want to change in centre, then tap it. menu will disappear and that menu item has just been toggled. Also note, for OLED watches you may wish the screen to be on all the time during a flight. Sorry, but this is not an option available to developers. If you do want this (and I admit I do), then you have to use the phone settings to enable it for for all activities. Obviously this might not be what you want, and if so, you will have to manually disable it after your flight. As I say - sorry but feature simply not available for me to provide and in app options for this. 31/07/2022 New Features: Support for the folllowing new devices: D2 Air Descent Mk2 Descent Mk2s Enduro Forerunner 255 Forerunner 255 Music Forerunner 255s Forerunner 255s Music Forerunner 745 Forerunner 945 LTE Forerunner 955 MARQ Golf 17/10/2020 New Features: Menus changed to make more sense. Now say ON or OFF for each thing so you know which mode it's set to. 22/09/2020 New Features: Altitude fixed - it will now display the same altitude as the altitude widget on your phone. This will use barometer and GPS is available, and if you have adjusted it, it will display this adjusted value. Zero Altitude is now persistent. If you prefer to always start a flight with take off field at 0, set this and every time you start the app it will zero the altitude. Units have been separated into Distance and Vertical. So you can independently set mph or km/h, feet or meters. 22/6/2020 New Features: - Setting to start recording automatically on app start up - New Vertical Speed/Vario Screen - just press 'down' to toggle between it. Left side shows amount of descent (red) or ascent (green), right side shows value in M/s or feet/minute depending on whether metric units are on or off. After feedback the following new features have been added: 2/3/2020: 1. Support for ALL Garmin watches! with custom fonts for every different watch to make best use of resolution 2. vertical speed ! 3. control of settings via Garmin Connect Mobile app for all watches (and required for those watches that do not have a menu button) Previous updates: 1. changes made to use alternate display, metric vs imperial and arrow behaviour will persist between uses of app! no need to redo them every time ! 2. A new option has been added 'Zero.Altitude' - due to some people complaining that altitude shown at your take off field is not what is expected. Selecting this BEFORE takeout will 'zero out' altitude. Your actual altitude shown in the app during flying will then be your altitude RELATIVE TO YOUR TAKE OFF ALTITUDE. This setting does not persist between uses of the app and must be selected each time it is required. 3. support for D2 bravo devices I hope you enjoy.
