About
Zephyra AP — Sailboat Autopilot Remote
Take full control of your autopilot from your wrist. Zephyra AP connects your Garmin watch to a Raspberry Pi autopilot controller over Wi-Fi, giving you a clean, always-visible interface for managing your heading and engaging or disengaging the autopilot — without leaving the helm.
Control Screen
The main screen puts everything you need at a glance. Your current heading is displayed front and center, with your target heading and autopilot status always visible. Use the on-screen buttons or physical keys to nudge your target heading port or starboard in precise steps, and engage or disengage the autopilot with a single tap.
Navigation Info Screen
Swipe left to open the info screen, featuring a live rotating compass ring, speed over ground in knots, target heading, and your current cardinal direction — all in a layout designed to be readable at a glance in bright sunlight or below deck.
Designed for the Water
Dark and light themes to suit any lighting condition, switchable directly from the watch
Minimal, high-contrast UI optimised for quick reads while underway
Configurable heading step size (1°, 5°, or 10°) to match your sailing style
Automatic reconnection and clear signal status so you always know if the link to the Pi is live
Setup
Zephyra AP pairs with the open-source Zephyra server running on a Raspberry Pi aboard your vessel. Set the Pi's IP address once in Garmin Connect and the watch handles the rest — polling for live data every two seconds and sending commands instantly when you interact with the controls.
Compatible with: Venu 2, Legacy Series First Avenger
