The calculation is based on a weather model inspired by the Liljegren algorithm. The gauge displays the five WBGT flag conditions: White, Green, Yellow, Red and Black (Purple for this application). The displayed value is a weather-based estimate and is not a measurement from a certified WBGT instrument. It must not be used as the sole basis for medical, occupational or safety decisions. Always consider actual conditions, personal health and official guidance. Recent Garmin Weather data and a valid position are required. The WBGT estimation model includes a Monkey C adaptation inspired by the Liljegren/Argonne outdoor WBGT model. Privacy Policy – The application processes location, weather and barometric pressure data locally on the Garmin device solely to calculate the estimated WBGT value. The developer does not receive, collect, transmit, sell or retain the user’s location, activity or health data.
