Solarise

A traditional analogue watch face that has current solar information (sunrise/sunset, civil twilight, nautical twilight, astronomical twilight, night) as well as digital information display (date, second time zone, battery, daily steps, next sunrise/sunset). Sun is depicted travelling around a 24 hour clock that shows the different solar periods via colour code (light blue = day, orange = civil twilight, purple = nautical twilight, dark blue = astronomical twilight, black = night). Please note that the scale of the solar information is 24h, not 12h like the traditional watch face. The position of the yellow sun corresponds with the watch time and revolves around the watch face once every 24 hours. The solar timescale has midday at the top 12 o'clock position of the watch face. This results in midnight being at the bottom of the watch face, and 6am and 6pm being to the left and right respectively. Every second updates in supporting devices. Watch face requires a position update from a recent activity to calculate solar information. If the solar information ring is dark grey when first loaded simply update the watch time using GPS or start an activity that uses GPS. This process does not need to be repeated after it has been done the first time as the watch face saves the last known position in memory for use when activity data has expired. You can do this process at anytime if you change location and wish to update the solar information. This is my first attempt at creating an application or watch face for Garmin.
