About

Disclaimer: This is primarily a personal project for myself, not necessarily intended for others. BLACKSITE AMMO is a tactical digital watch face built natively for the 416 × 416 AMOLED display on Instinct 3 – 50 mm AMOLED. OPERATIONAL DISPLAY • Tactical digital time with live seconds while awake, date, aircraft marker, solar rail, A22 identity, perimeter ticks and arcs, weather and atmospheric instrumentation. • A six-cell lower data rack presents heart rate, seven-day resting-heart-rate average, activity distance, Body Battery, next solar event, and either stopwatch or Days Since. • A recessed lunar portal uses real moon-phase geometry within a layered instrument window. • Directional wind, humidity, pressure trend, connection state, current conditions, high/low, precipitation chance, UV, stress, respiration, and solar-event indicators retain stable semantic identities. • Missing, denied, stale, or unsupported data keeps its intended position and fails closed as -- rather than inventing a reading. CUSTOMIZATION • Six coordinated styles in picker order: A22, A22 DRKRM, A22 CMND, Agent 22 Covert, Grayscale Recon, and Nightshade. • Connect IQ Mobile settings organize themes, fonts, data presentation, Days Since, component colors, material patterns, icon treatment, ticks, solar rail, A22 identity, and the time and lower-grid panels. • The on-watch editor provides a compact native settings surface for supported choices. RUNTIME • Ordinary updates repaint one authoritative BLACKSITE frame. Awake seconds use a bounded seconds region. • Always-on display uses a selectable red or A22 CMND green minute composition without seconds and shifts the rendered surface between minute states to protect the AMOLED display. • Settings use stable semantic IDs and survive the tested simulator stop/restart lifecycle. BLACKSITE AMMO processes data on the watch and contains no advertising, purchases, analytics, external account, or developer-operated data service. Provider availability and cadence depend on Garmin device, firmware, sensors, permissions, user mode, and cached data. This independent face is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Garmin or any military or government organization.

What's new

R44 — Wake and switching responsiveness • Separates data refresh from active rendering and removes the wake-time subscription/refresh batch. • Pauses provider work during settings, hide and AOD transitions; reduces duplicate redraw requests. • Streamlines tick-bank traversal and font lookups while retaining the existing artwork and layout. • Keeps red/green time readable at dim settings by dimming the inactive 88 segments with the live time. • Preserves brightness controls, saved settings, and independent AOD presentation.
