About

The datafield is free now. However, I am having trouble with removing the code with the license restrictions from the datafield source code. You can therefore find your license key here: https://www.vermail.nl/datarun_code/ and use the spreadsheet with license keys. I don't develop this datafield anymore and I will not add any watches. This dashboard uses the running power of the Stryd running power meter and pace and HR from the Garmin watch. See https://vermail.nl/powerdashboard-plus for all the options and the manual. If you use 7 or 10 powerzones, see the version suited for those: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/6c90b677-cc36-447e-bd6a-06c0bf2d2510 I've also made a version for the FR920xt, Fenix 3 and Fenix 3 HR with slightly less overhead en an extra bit of functionality: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/0f2cf8a9-bee1-4abf-9df0-73f7c8099eee. If you want more flexibility and have a newer watch, than Datarun premium with 4 metrics might be suited better: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/76af5825-6594-4337-8a8e-82193a47ed12. There are versions with 5, 6 and 7 metrics as well (version with 7 metrics: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/360a26c4-e2bb-45b7-8f97-2694ccf74eef). The upper right field has options for the newer watches. For the two lower fields one can choose between metrics like lap and average power. Also metrics like Lap Efficiency Index are available. The efficiency Index is a metric which indicates the running efficiency; how able you are to transform running power (movements!) into speed. The efficiency factor however is also a metric which indicates the running efficiency; how hard your lung-cardio system has to work for a certain speed. For more info I recommend the book "Run with power" by Jim Vance. The datafield is meant to be placed in a single view (so filling up the whole watchface). It doesn't write data to Garmin Connect via a FIT-file. It is possible to display Stryd power, if you have a FR920xt, Fenix 3(HR), FR735xt, FR935 or Fenix 5/5s/5x. They can connect as a power meter ànd as a footpod, so you can have running power ànd accurate pace. You need to have the Stryd datafield on a different screen live as well if you want the power data to be shown on Garmin Connect and the Stryd website. The older watches only have coloring in the two upper fields (based on powerzones), don't have averaging of current power over 10 sec and more, no averaged efficiency index over 5sec and more but do have warnings based on a self defined zone. For the newer watches it is possible to set the frequency of the power alerts and to switch it on and off on the fly (by quickly pushing the start-stop-button twice). For the older watches (FR920xt and Fenix 3(HR)), who "suffer" from memory limitations), the frequency is fixed for once per 5 seconds. If you want to use this datafield ànd the datafield by Stryd, you will not be able to use a third datafield.

What's new

1.83: changed fonts to anti-aliased for high end watches 1.82: added support for extra D2Delta versions 1.81: added support for FR945 and Marq watches 1.80: implemented the use of lap values (like lap power) for structured workouts, for Fenix 5 (s/x) (plus) and FR935. They are the only watches that have received CIQ3 firmware and are enabled for this. FR935 and Fenix 5 (x) plus loose the option to have a black background as there was not enough memory to keep that functionality in 1.70: added support for Fenix 5 plus series and compiled with latest SDK 1.6c: fixed obscure error in calculation of Average Efficiency Factor (AEF), only visible in the first seconds of an activity 1.6b: fixed absurd high average power values after stopping (situation with no power) 1.6: added powerzone as a metric for the upper right field (only for the newer watches, the older watches have no options in the upper right field). Also, improved stability for the older watches, by removing some code (as a memory overflow could occur in some situations). In general the efficiency-metrics in the lower left field are not available for the lower right field and vice versa. However, they are all still there, only not to be choosen in both the two lower fields anymore 1.5: added current pace and averaged pace (over 3 seconds) as an option for the upper right field, alongside a few options that were also available in the lower fields 1.4: Added an option to set the frequency of alerts when one is outside the preferred powerzone. Also added an option for switching alerts of and on on the fly. Included is a font fix a some code changes for a bug with the FR920xt not giving current efficiency Index. 1.3: added power alert when outside of zone. Added current and averaged efficiency index. For FR920xt, Fenix 3 and Fenix 3 HR only averaged over 3 sec could be added, while I had to remove the options for those watches to have a black background and averaged power over 10 sec. For the newer watches I haven't removed anything and added efficiency index for 3 to 30 sec averaged. 1.2c: fixed a bug that caused a crash when heartrate was not available 1.2b: fixed confusing text in settings 1.2: added coloring of the labelfields (based on powerzones), averaging of current power and warnings based on a self defined zone 1.1b: fixed bug where absence of GPS could lead to a crash 1.1: Added support for Fenix 3(HR), FR735xt, FR935 or Fenix 5/5x 1.0: first release (work in progress, but fully functional)
