About

Task Ahead keeps your to-do list on your wrist. Use it completely on its own, or connect a Todoist account to sync — you choose on first launch, and you can switch any time. **Two ways to use it** - On this watch: create and manage tasks with no account and no phone needed — everything stays on the watch - With Todoist: sign in and your Todoist tasks, projects, and sections sync to the watch **See what matters now** - Today view: everything due today, with all overdue tasks collected under a single red "Overdue" header - Upcoming view: your schedule for the next ~90 days, grouped by date - Open any project, grouped by date, priority, label, deadline, or section — per view, or app-wide - Glance widget: your next tasks and today/overdue counts at a glance - Task details: description, due date and time, priority, project, section **Get things done from the wrist** - Tap a task for its actions: Complete, Details, Edit, Move to project, Delete - Swipe left on a task for the same quick-actions menu - Long-press a task to complete it instantly - Long-press "+ New Task" for Quick Add — capture a task from just its name, using the current view's project and due date (a normal tap still opens the full form) - Add tasks with due date (including a custom date/time picker), deadline, priority, project, section, and label - Edit, move, and delete tasks - Launch from the glance to jump straight to Today **Settings, your way — hold MENU** - Hold MENU on the home screen for app settings: font size, default task grouping, the Quick Add target project, manage views (reorder / show / hide), switch data source (on-watch or Todoist), and — in Todoist mode — refresh the project list and Todoist sign-in/sign-out; in on-watch mode, create a new project - Hold MENU inside any view (Today, Upcoming, or a project) for that view's own settings — override how just that view is grouped (due date, priority, label, deadline, or section) without changing the app-wide default, refresh that view, and — while grouped by section — manually reorder the sections - Hold MENU on a project view for that project's own settings (rename, favourite/unfavourite; on-watch projects can also be deleted) - Five font sizes, from Small to Large, applied instantly across every view - Favourite views pinned to the top of the home list; hide the rest - Battery-friendly: small paged requests, cached projects/sections, no polling — in Todoist mode the app only talks to Todoist when you use it **Connecting Todoist (optional)** If you choose "Use with Todoist", first get your personal API token from Todoist: on todoist.com (or in the Todoist app) go to Settings → Integrations → Developer and copy the "API token". Then sign in whichever way suits you: 1. EASIEST — paste the token in the Connect IQ phone app: open Connect IQ on your phone → My Device → Task Ahead → Settings, paste the token into the "Todoist API token" field and save. Open the app on the watch — it signs in automatically. No typing on the watch. 2. Type the token on the watch: on the app's sign-in screen press SELECT. Because the watch keyboard only accepts about 30 characters at a time — and the token is 40 — the app asks for the token in two parts: type roughly the first half and confirm, then type the rest as part 2. (If you did fit the whole token into part 1, just leave part 2 empty.) The app verifies the token with Todoist before saving it, so a typo is caught immediately. 3. Log in with your Todoist account (OAuth): on the sign-in screen press MENU. The Garmin Connect app on your phone opens a Todoist login page — log in and approve, and the watch signs in. You can switch data source, switch sign-in method, or log out any time from the app's settings (hold MENU on the home screen). On-watch mode needs no account and no connection. Todoist mode requires a Todoist account (free plan works) and a paired phone with the Garmin Connect app and an internet connection for all data access. This app is not create
