SkiAlp DataField - BackCountry Ski & Hiking

This is the complete datafield that I use for backcountry ski ( ski Touring / sci alpinismo) It can be used for hiking, too It displays : - current time of the day - heart rate (color coded by heart zones) - vertical speed - current altitude - current speed - total ascent (D+) & total descent - total activity time from beginning (stopping activity DOESN'T stop timer) - current GPS position (could be useful for rescue) * as soon as you start your activity, every 30" GPS position changes to Battery Charge percentage and GPS quality In Garmin Connect, you can configure: *** Pls note:coordinates format Is DD.dddd DD.dddd (four decimals) - Total Ascent: a percentage bar is show under D+ - Summit Altitude: remaining ascent is showed under current altitude - waypoint (just one!): bearing in degrees and distance to waypoint is showed - abiltiy to show average ascent rate - both imperial & metric units are supported ****INSTALLATION**** Datafield are custom field in an activity, unlike Watch app you have to activate It with the following procedure - Press start/stop - select an Activity you want to customize or create a new One - long press up/option Button (with The vivoactive touch the screen) - select settings-current Activity-data pages Clic on a data screen you want to customize or activate a new One - layout must be 1 field - on field 1 select connect iq and the my skialpdatafield Here Is a video instruction on YouTube for another datafield, the procedure Is the same for all datafields https://youtu.be/J5IXgyBMuX8
