About

Stop hitting snooze and start your day with movement. MoveUnlock is an innovative alarm app that won't let you dismiss the alert until you've walked a set number of steps. Perfect for anyone who struggles to get out of bed in the morning or wants to build a healthier wake-up routine. How It Works Set your wake-up time and choose how many steps you need to walk (anywhere from 5 to 500 steps). When the alarm triggers, your watch will vibrate and display a clear "WALK" message. The only way to stop the alarm is to get up and move. No snooze button, no easy way out - just walk the required steps and your day begins. Key Features FLEXIBLE ALARM SCHEDULING Set your preferred wake-up time with an intuitive time picker. Enable or disable the alarm with a single tap. The main screen shows your alarm status with a color-coded indicator: red means off, green means active. CUSTOMIZABLE STEP GOALS Choose between 5 and 500 steps based on your needs. Use fine adjustments (plus or minus 5 steps) or quick jumps (plus or minus 50 steps) to find your perfect challenge level. Visual difficulty indicators help you gauge the effort required: Very Easy, Easy, Moderate, Challenging, Hard, or Very Hard. FREQUENCY MODES Choose how often your alarm repeats: Once: Single trigger then auto-disables Hourly: Triggers every hour at your set minute Every 30 Minutes: Repeats twice per hour Daily: Once per day at your chosen time Weekdays: Monday through Friday only Weekends: Saturday and Sunday only The alarm always triggers at your set time first, then repeats based on your chosen frequency. Change the time or toggle the alarm to reset the trigger state. INTUITIVE WHEEL INTERFACE Navigate through eight menu options arranged in a circle around the center of your watch face. The current time is always visible in the middle. Rotate through options with up/down buttons and select with a single press. Designed specifically for round watch faces. SIMPLE ALARM EXPERIENCE When the alarm triggers, you see a large, clear "WALK" message - no confusing counters or complex displays. The screen header pulses between red and orange while you walk. Once you complete your step goal, the header turns green and displays "DONE!" Press any button to dismiss and return to the main menu. TEST MODE Try your step goal anytime without waiting for the scheduled alarm. Perfect for finding the right difficulty level or verifying that step tracking is working correctly on your device. DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS Built-in diagnostic screen shows real-time step counting. Watch your step counter update as you walk to verify sensor functionality. Displays current steps, starting count, steps taken, and update status. EMERGENCY STOP If needed, manually stop any active alarm from the main menu without walking. Useful for unexpected situations where you can't complete the walk. Smart Step Tracking The app tracks new steps from the moment the alarm triggers, not your daily total. For example, if you have 1000 steps for the day and set a threshold of 100 steps, you need to reach 1100 total steps to dismiss the alarm. Step counts may update every 5-30 seconds depending on your device's sensor behavior. Tap the screen during an alarm to force a manual step check. Persistent Settings All your preferences are saved automatically: alarm time, step threshold, frequency mode, and on/off state. Your settings persist even after closing the app or restarting your watch. Best Practices For reliable wake-up alarms, we recommend: Set your native Garmin alarm for your desired wake time When it wakes you, open MoveUnlock The app will trigger immediately if you're at or past the scheduled time Complete your walk to dismiss This approach works around platform limitations with background alarms on some devices. Perfect For People who hit snooze repeatedly, those building healthier morning routines, anyone wanting to start the day with movement, and users seeking accountability for getting out of bed.
