CGM Horizon

I originally built this watch face for myself so I could see my glucose, trend, and recent history while riding my e-bike, walking the dog, or going through an ordinary day without opening my phone. CGM Horizon is a vendor-neutral Nightscout watch face. It works with any CGM or uploader that writes standard glucose entries to a Nightscout instance. It does not connect directly to a CGM sensor, Apple Health, SYAI, or another manufacturer's cloud API. Required data flow: CGM sensor and uploader → your Nightscout → Garmin Connect phone connection → watch face Before using the watch face, you therefore need a working Nightscout site that is already receiving current glucose readings. The developer does not provide or operate a Nightscout server for users. Features: - current glucose with a clear geometric trend arrow - color-coded low, target, and high ranges - 3, 6, or 12-hour glucose graph - rolling average matching the selected 3, 6, or 12-hour graph - reading age plus stale and sync-error indication - Dark, Light, and automatic day/night themes - selectable accent color - configurable low/high thresholds - three configurable metrics: steps, heart rate, watch battery, calories, or distance - English and Slovak settings Setup: 1. Open the watch face settings in Garmin Connect IQ or Garmin Connect on your phone. 2. Enter the HTTPS base URL of your Nightscout site without `/api/...`. 3. If the site is protected, enter a dedicated read-only Nightscout access/API token. A token is optional only for a Nightscout site that deliberately allows public read access. 4. Choose units, theme, thresholds, graph length, and bottom metrics. Never enter a Nightscout `API_SECRET`, admin token, database credential, CGM account password, or vendor API key. Use only a dedicated token with read access to glucose entries. The watch face asks Nightscout for the latest entry at most once every five minutes. The phone must have internet access, Garmin Connect must be running, and the watch must be connected to the phone. Bluetooth problems, phone background restrictions, internet outages, or a sleeping free-hosted Nightscout can delay an update. The displayed age and `!` marker indicate stale data or a synchronization problem. After a fresh install or data reset, the graph and its matching average fill progressively while the watch face builds its local history. Important: CGM Horizon is a supplementary convenience display, not a medical device, primary CGM display, or alarm system. It does not provide guaranteed real-time data. Glucose ranges, colors, trends, and averages are informational only and may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Do not use it for insulin dosing, treatment changes, diagnosis, or emergency decisions. Always verify readings in the primary CGM application/device and follow the CGM manufacturer's and your healthcare professional's instructions. CGM Horizon 1.0.5 - The displayed average now follows the selected 3, 6, or 12-hour graph window. - Reduced peak memory use by loading glucose history once and rendering directly from that shared buffer. - FIFO filtering and trimming now reuse the existing buffer instead of allocating a second copy of the complete 12-hour history. - Preserved the five-minute Nightscout refresh interval, themes, thresholds, metrics, and support for all 126 compatible Garmin profiles / 220 Store variants. The exclamation mark still indicates stale Nightscout data or a synchronization error. It does not by itself mean that the watch face has crashed.
