Instantly fetch live METAR aviation weather from the nearest airports, automatically selected using your real-time GPS location. How it Works (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!) 1. Set your favorite airport ICAO in the METAR settings (it will be used as a fallback ID) and the search radius distance (in miles). Open ConnectIQ mobile app - "Device" - "My Watch Faces" - "METAR Pilot GMT Master" - "Settings". 2. The app automatically fetches updated METAR every 5 minutes, so please wait for the next update. 3. Long press on the watch face to launch the optional companion app "GPS Locator" (should be installed separately) which will instantly update your location (wait up to 30 sec. as the GPS sensor searches for the satellite signal), then wait for the next METAR sync cycle to get the updated nearest airports (will be displayed on the Bezel) and weather. Notice: Garmin doesn't automatically update your GPS location when you move, so you'll need to use apps that use GPS or open the "GPS Locator" companion app. P.S. The maximum number of airports displayed on the bezel is 8. If the nearest airport doesn't have METAR reporting then it will try a next in the list. If no airports have METAR reporting then the fallback METAR will be displayed. P.P.S. If you oftenly use any GPS - related apps like Running, Cycling, etc. then you don't need to use the "GPS Locator" app as the watch face will use the last known location and update nearest airports and weather automatically.
