Waving Japan Flag

Bring the spirit of Japan to your wrist with this elegant Connect IQ watch face. Japan Flag features a procedurally drawn Japanese flag — a white field with a centered red disc, known as the Nisshōki — that waves gently with a realistic 3D cloth ripple animation while your watch is awake. Built entirely from polygons instead of a bitmap, the flag uses almost no memory and scales perfectly to any screen resolution. The red disc is a true geometric circle that follows the wave of the field. It displays beautifully on AMOLED screens and quantizes correctly on 64-color MIP displays. Large outlined time digits with dark halos stay highly legible over the animated background. The display also includes the date and a stats row showing heart rate, steps, and battery with charge level. On AMOLED devices with always-on support, a burn-in safe low-power mode shows dim time and date alongside a small flag glyph (white field and red dot) that jitters every minute. The watch face is fully offline, requires no settings, and uses only standard sensor permissions. It contains no user-visible text other than numbers, so it works seamlessly in any locale.
