About

Training Status Pro is a Garmin widget that goes one step beyond showing your training status label. It tells you WHY your status is what it is and gives you specific coaching advice on how to reach peak performance. The app calculates a readiness score from 0 to 100 based on your weekly training load, recovery signals, and fitness trend. It then classifies your training status and provides personalized guidance for today. Four pages keep everything organized: STATUS - Your readiness score, current training status, and a quick view of your fitness, load, and recovery scores. Statuses: Productive, Maintaining, Recovering, Detraining, Overreaching. LOAD - Your active minutes over the last 7 days with a daily bar chart, load score, and fitness trend. Recent days are weighted more heavily so today's training counts more than last week. RECOVERY - Your recovery score based on three signals: Body Battery, overnight sleep duration, and stress level. Each signal is shown as its own card so you can see exactly what is driving your recovery. COACH - The heart of the app. Three sections: Today's advice: a specific workout recommendation or rest suggestion based on your current status. WHY: a plain-language explanation of exactly why you are in this status right now, using your actual sensor data. TO PEAK: concrete steps to move from your current status toward peak condition. The app uses available data your watch already collects: weekly active minutes, resting heart rate, Body Battery, overnight sleep duration, and stress level. No manual input required. Data availability depends on the watch model. Works on all listed Garmin watches, including models without a native training status display such as Venu 2, Venu 3, Vivoactive 5, Vivoactive 6, Forerunner 165, and Venu Sq2. Supported languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Russian, Czech.

What's new

V1.2.0 Recovery page redesigned: the sleep card has been replaced with a Resting HR Trend card. It shows your current resting heart rate and a 7-day trend direction — falling means you are recovering well, rising is an early warning of overtraining or illness. On devices where the resting HR is not available directly, the overnight heart rate minimum is used as a reliable fallback. Fixed: active minutes total could show the same value on consecutive days due to a counting error in the 7-day window. WHAT'S NEW (v1.1.0): Recovery page upgraded: sleep duration is now a dedicated signal alongside Body Battery and stress. Each of the three signals has its own card showing the value clearly. Training load now uses exponential decay weighting so recent training days count more than older ones. Active minutes calculation improved to use moderate and vigorous intensity only for a more accurate load picture. WHAT'S NEW (v1.0.0): Initial release. Four pages: Training Status overview, Training Load, Recovery signals, and Coach. Includes WHY explanations that show the data behind your status and TO PEAK coaching advice. Supports 13 languages.
