About

Yes, you found it, this is your favorite watch face! It took a year to develop the product for you, which you will love and happy to see on your watch for years. El Capitan - Adventure-Ready Digital Watch Face A clean, but full of information digital face built for outdoor athletes - wind, weather, and sun data on your wrist alongside the health stats you check every day, without wrecking your battery to get there. A half-second glance tells you whether to push today or hold back, without opening an app or unlocking your phone. Here's the actual math: watch face price is about what you'd spend on a coffee or a car park ticket. That's gone in an hour. This is on your wrist for every run, every meeting, every school pickup, for as long as you own the watch. You already bought the dream watch. This is the small piece that makes it behave like one. Key Features: Large, easy-to-read digital time with seconds, date, and week number Live weather: current temperature (C and F) + condition icon Wind compass - current wind direction and speed (m/s, knt, mph, kmh), plus a rotating +1h / +3h / +6h forecast pointer so you can see which way the wind is turning before you head out Sunrise & sunset times for your location Heart rate, steps, calories, and battery percentage at a glance 7-day activity bar chart (steps) Bluetooth connection and phone notification indicators A battery-level dial ringing the edge of the screen, so you know your charge without opening a menu 15 built-in colour themes and option to select custom colours Always-On Display support on AMOLED devices, with automatic burn-in protection — screen elements shift a few pixels every minute so nothing gets etched into the display Available in multiple languages (20 languages) A note on location (for wind, weather & sunrise/sunset) Watch faces can't request GPS directly — Garmin only shares a device's last known position with apps that acquired it. To get an accurate fix: Start any GPS activity (even a short walk or run) Wait a few seconds for a GPS lock (your watch should get GPS your position) Stop the activity and return to the watch face El Capitan then caches that position, and will update it with recent GPS activities data (If you on vacation in another country or place and want to get local data, run short GPS activity to catch local coordinates). Without a GPS fix, it falls back to your phone's weather-station location. What's new

At the top is a wind widget displaying the current wind speed and direction, along with a forecast for the next hour, 3 hours, and 6 hours. Next to it is a weather widget showing current weather conditions and air temperature. At the bottom of the watch face is information about today's sunrise and sunset times. With this useful information on your watch, a single glance will be enough to quickly decide how to adapt your plans to wind, weather, and light conditions. In the center is a large digital clock with seconds. In today's world, every second counts. Time can be read from the watch very quickly with a glance. A beautiful, bold, large font and contrasting seconds help with this. This is an extremely convenient feature if you're driving or cycling and need to keep your eyes on the road or your course while still being able to quickly check the current time. At the bottom of the watch face is a bar chart of your progress over the past week. The watch is called El Capitan, named after the rock formation in the United States. Your activity over the past week will likewise stack up like a rock formation. The chart design fits organically into the overall watch face, the bar for the day you reached your goal is highlighted in a bright, contrasting color. The height of the bar shows the number of steps you took that day. Of course, you'll also have easy access to your current heart rate, the number of steps taken today, and calories burned. These are the key metrics that let you quickly assess your health and progress. Right below the time is a date block without redundant information, for example, the current month isn't shown. It displays the day of the week, the day of the month, and the week number of the year. We all love our watches for their long battery life. Sometimes it can slip your mind entirely that they even need charging. That's why we need to keep track of the current battery level, so you don't forget to charge it in time. There's nothing worse than a dead watch before a long run or other activity. The watch face shows both a digital and visual representation of the current battery charge. The digital indicator is at the top of the watch face. A contrasting line runs around the entire perimeter of the watch face, also indicating the current battery status. It helps you quickly assess the current state without needing finer detail. An undeniable bonus for all AMOLED display owners is the Always-On Display (AOD) feature. Specially selected colors and a micro-movement algorithm for the screen help protect your pixels from burn-in. This keeps your display safe while showing the time continuously. In developing this watch face, we tried to strike the best possible balance between aesthetic beauty and battery life. The AOD mode of this watch face passed strict testing by Garmin, confirming it's fully safe for your device. And of course, on the watch face you'll find icons showing whether the watch is paired via Bluetooth and whether you have new notifications on your phone. We're all individuals, and to highlight your individuality, the watch face settings offer 15 color themes that should satisfy most users looking for the perfect colors to match their style and watch. If you have specific color preferences, you can set custom colors - just select the Custom theme and choose the colors you want. The settings also let you choose the units of measurement for temperature and wind, as well as whether the wind indicator points to where the wind is coming from or where it's blowing toward.
